CHILD SAFETY PROGRAM

Hummingbird Academy aspires to have the highest level of safety and care by providing the following provisions:

· Entryways to the classroom from the outside will always remain locked and visitors will be screened before entry.

· A sign-in and sign-out sheet will be used daily at pick up and drop off time to ensure safety and security for all students.

· No adult will be left alone with any child except for the teacher who has up to date fingerprinting and background checks.

· No two unrelated minors will be left alone in the classroom or elsewhere.

· All staff of the church as well as the teacher are mandatory reporters, per New Jersey law.

· The teacher accepts responsibility for supervising children while they attend Hummingbird Academy.

· Hummingbird Academy is a no bully zone, any and all incidents will be reported to both students parents and we will work towards a resolution together.

•  In the event of any concerns regarding potential violations of this policy or any concern regarding the safety of a child or children attending Hummingbird Academy all concerns should be reported to a State Central Registry (SCR) by calling 1-877-652-2873.
